Dave is the National Lead at Export Development Canada working with Black exporters. Prior to joining Export Development Canada, he worked as the  Diversity and Inclusion Lead at Corus Entertainment, City of Toronto, Shopify and the Independent Street Checks Review, which examined Ontario’s regulation on street checks or carding, as it is sometimes called. 

 

He is a Fellow, Leading Social Justice at the University of Toronto, Advisory Board Member for Marigold Capital, a venture capital firm that uses a gender lens to inform impact investing and is a member of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. 

 

Dave serves on advisory boards for public institutions to advise on matters related to child welfare, policing, health equity and entrepreneurship, and medical school admissions. He is certified
in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention by the Crisis Prevention Institute.
