With 20 years of  progressive multi-sector experience at the conceptual, strategic and operational levels, the Co-founder and Co-Chair of The New Humanity Initiative®, Hugh Anthony has led the organization and its team since its inception. Hugh Anthony is a member of the teaching faculty at Ryerson University and The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, and prior to that he served as Executive Director at a regional non-profit organization.

 

He brings international and national experience working in higher education institutions, not-for-profit sector and tourism and hospitality organizations, Hugh Anthony has played a significant role in leading and strengthening organizations and operations, through visioning, strategic planning, teaching, training and development, marketing. communications, collaborations and partnerships, advocacy and leading people-centered programming and initiatives. Additionally, he brings significant experience in non-profit leadership and management, board governance, funding, fundraising and capacity building expertise.

 

Hugh Anthony received his PhD from the University of Waterloo and Master of Science, Postgraduate Diploma and Bachelor of Science from the University of the West Indies. In addition, he as taken executive and corporate courses at Harvard University, Ryerson University and University of New Orleans.   Hugh Anthony, a master public speaker and storyteller with his award-winning presentation skills help organizations to amplify their customer experience and engagement. Through servant leadership and strategic relationship building he creates inclusive processes that fosters equity, inclusion and belonging.

 

He has held numerous leadership positions on several boards nationally and internationally, North America, Europe and the Caribbean and continues to serve several non-profit organizations in various capacities.
